MIXER MADNESS: The Killer!

This past weekend, Evan and I watched an amazing tape he found from high school, when he hooked up various keyboards and drum machines, Gameboys, and two microphones to his mixer, and we overdubbed the audio to various movies live using two VCRs.

The hour-long tape is hilarious and deeply embarrassing, but I was impressed with our nerdy, straight-edge caffeine-fueled ingenuity at the time, stuck in our boring town in Michigan. Other items on the tape include Mario 64 footage, scenes from Evangelion, some random 90s hentai, and about 25 minutes of John Woo's "The Killer".

This is a short clip from a rescue scene:

Y'know, if you would have doubled the BPM to that soundtrack, you would have accidentally invented breakcore.

Ahh-- the sweet days of our youth. Even though I wasn't a part of this in anyway, the videoclip made me think of those days long past.

@kinneyrick: hahaha, well Evan and I were listening to a LOT of DIGITAL HARDCORE (ATR, ec8or, cobra killer) when we made these! haha

@saicoink: I know right? There are so many waylaid and crazy projects that we used to do when we had nothing but boredom and free time defining our days :)

@goreshit: hahaha, maybe someday
