This is probably not the appropriate response, but I was in the shower a few hours after seeing this post and started thinking, "If there really WERE zombies ahead, like a 28 Days Later outbreak a few miles down the road, what would I put on the sign?"...

Like, ZOMBIES AHEAD wouldn't work (obviously) so you'd need something scary; but at the same time, you wouldn't to confuse people onto an unsafe path.

I decided on, "DO NOT PROCEED, GUNMEN AT LARGE," and I would try to divert cars off the freeway. But still, there has to be a more effective message. THOUGHTS WELCOME!

oh this will cause a ruckus, just like those viral adultswim people. i can tell.... or is this some fruity postmodernist take on america, where, we're all the consumerist zombies that etc. etc.... still nothing cool like that on my highway.
